, I got accepted into Oxford University Business School’s Executive MBA program. I will go to Oxford to attend classes starting in January. The program requires me to go to Oxford one week out of every five for a year and a half with a total of sixteen modules.

, I’ve nearly finished my second book “Entrepreneur Wealth Management Made Easy.” I expect to publish it in the first half of the new year.

, I went to China to visit the brave orphan girl I wrote about here and here. Though we only had a few hours together, those were the few hours she had fatherly love in her life. Sadly, she passed away one week after I visited her.

, I made two gratitude trips to say thank you to folks who have made a deep impact on my life. One is in Sidney and one in Beijing.

, I performed musical improv again at Bayfront Theater in San Francisco, and at student showcases at Imagination Stage in Bethesda. It has always been a thrill to push my creativity to the limit on stage.

, I produced musical improv shows for Tara and Rance from Chicago, and North Coast Hip Hop Improv from NYC. All were great successes!

, My business continues to grow. It finally passed $100mm in AUM.

, I spoke at a medical conference for the first time. I only had ten minutes, but I wowed them with my informative comedy. The topic of my speech was “Why Doctors Don’t Get Rich.” After the speech, 30 of them reached out to me. They either downloaded my book or requested my second opinion financial review. I want to do more public speaking in the new year. If you know any opportunities, please connect me.

, I took my family for a three-week trip to New Zealand and Australia. My older one had a bad accident in New Zealand that caused him to lose a tooth. But all is good. He will be stronger from this experience.

, I adopted a juicing diet and lost more than 10 pounds. Now I am still doing intermittent fasting and the juicing diet interchangeably. I hope to lose another 10 pounds.

What awesome things have you done in 2018? I encourage you to do an year-end review of your well-being portfolio. Your well-being portfolio consists of four “asset classes:” personal growth, career/business growth, relational growth and giving back to your community. What have you done for your personal and business growth? What have you done for your relational growth? What have you done for your community? Do you need to rebalance your time and energy investment in 2019 to move your well-being portfolio to a higher level? This is just some food for thought.

Finally, I’d like to wish you all a happy 2018 holiday season and a prosperous 2019!
