Health Is Wealth 0: Where To Start?

Posted on: December 23, 2022

It has been a few months since I decided to write a newsletter about Health. As I get older, it is becoming clearer and clearer to me that health is the ultimate wealth and one can not talk about wealth in isolation of health.

However, I don’t know where to start. My own awareness of the importance of health has been a slow and gradual process. After I first became cognizant of its importance, there was a long process of knowledge acquisition as well as plenty of trial and error on myself.  Following that, there was yet another long process of habit formation. Truth be told, there was no “aha” moment and there was definitely no instant success. Instead, it has been a constant learning and many micro-adjustments over many years

I have reached the point where my own results have become so obvious that I am quite confident it will be valuable to share my experience. Once I weighed 240 lbs, now I weigh 150 lbs. Once my blood work was a mess, now it’s a thing of beauty. Once I tired easily and was very forgetful, now I am energetic and mentally sharp. When I was 35, I felt like I was 10 years older. Now that I am 55, I feel 15 years younger. In fact I did a blood test to find out my inner biological age a few months ago (when I was still 54.) The result showed that I was biologically 39, 15 years younger than my calendar age.

I am not a medical doctor, I don’t give health advice. What I will write about are my own individual experiences and my own observations. I hope my writing will inspire you to seek better health and a longer life. This is the best gift you can give yourself, your loved ones, and indeed to society as a whole.
